14K vs 18K Gold: Colour, Durability and Price Compared
14K gold is 58.5 percent gold and 18K is 75 percent. 14K is harder, paler and cheaper per gram, which suits rings and chains that take hard daily wear. 18K has a richer colour, more gold value and less alloy against the skin. Both are real gold, and both are BIS hallmarked grades in India.

Farewell Gift for a Male Boss: What Is Fitting and What Lasts
The most fitting farewell gift for a male boss is a team gift he will use for years: an engraved keychain, a lapel pin, a tie pin or cufflinks, with a card everyone signs. Pool the budget so no one gives alone, keep it modest and impersonal, and engrave the years worked together rather than a message.

Jewellery Insurance in India: How to Insure a Ring or Chain
Jewellery insurance in India comes in three main forms: optional valuables cover on a home policy, which protects jewellery at home against named events such as fire and flood; burglary cover for theft after a break-in; and all-risk cover, which can protect a ring or chain wherever you wear it. Claims need an invoice, valuation and photographs.

Promotion Gift for Men: Marking a Milestone With Something Lasting
A thoughtful promotion gift for a man is something he will use in the new role and keep afterwards: a tie pin or cufflinks for his first big meeting, a lapel pin, a silver keychain, or a signet-style ring engraved with the date. Match the gift's intimacy to your relationship with him.

White Gold vs Platinum for Men: Price, Durability and Upkeep
White gold vs platinum comes down to upkeep against cost. Platinum (Pt950, 95 percent pure) is naturally white, heavier and hypoallergenic, and wears to a soft patina. 18K white gold is lighter and usually cheaper to make, but its rhodium plating needs renewing. For a man with nickel sensitivity or hard wear, platinum; otherwise either works.

Fine Jewellery vs Fashion Jewellery: What You Are Paying For
Fine jewellery vs fashion jewellery comes down to what the piece is made of throughout. Fine jewellery is solid precious metal, such as 18K gold or 925 sterling silver, and holds metal value. Fashion jewellery is base metal with at most a thin coating, so an "18K gold plated" chain is not gold and its colour wears off.
